Don’t linger inside…Ontario’s great outdoors is calling to you!
And Summer truly is the time to experience the rejuvenating powers of nature!
Revel in the warmth of the morning sun on your face as you paddle past a family
of loons. Feel the light caress of an afternoon breeze as you meet the gaze
of a
majestic moose enjoying a lily pad snack across the marshland. Bathe in
the glory of the moonlight over your campsite. Turn your face to the mystery
of the stars. Re-awaken that kinder, gentler
soul within you as you make this the summer of your own great
Ontario outdoor adventure!
Ontario ’s outdoors is the perfect place to connect – or re-connect – with
the natural world. Take the opportunity to gaze up at the stars from the quiet
of a Manitoulin
night or take in the celestial view from
your kayak on the waters of Georgian Bay. Perhaps, you prefer a little resort
comforts with your moonlight – then check out the highest observatory
point in Muskoka. Just 3 hours north of the lights of the Golden Horseshoe,
Ontario’s dark
sky reserve offers many stellar opportunities for connecting with the
cosmos!
But you certainly don’t have to look up to make that natural connection – Ontario’s
great outdoors is a natural place to commune
with your friends and family as well. It’s a great place to teach
the kids about our natural
environment and the importance of protecting our natural world with a
retreat to an
eco-friendly cabin or an Algonquin outpost
adventure.
Don’t have time for a long getaway? There are plenty of opportunities
to get out into the natural world at Ontario’s many great outdoor festivals
and events, happening across the province throughout the summer. Take time
to stop and smell the wildflowers at Wye Marsh’s Wildflower Garden Anniversary
Celebrations. Or get out in the moonlight and enjoy one of the many moonlit
hikes and wolf howls happening near you throughout July and August. Get up
close and personal with the Leopard Frogs and Painted Turtles of Blue Lake
Provincial in August. Prefer to spend your time with royalty? Then check out
Ontario’s local Monarchs at Presqu’ile Provincial Park’s
Monarchs and Migrants event. Learn where you can renew your relationship with
the natural world at an
outdoor event near you.
Wherever you go in Ontario, however you choose to connect with the natural
world, it’s always great to relive those memories at home while admiring
the great
photographs you took and planning your next getaway.
Just remember, There’s no place like this! Whatever your
heart’s desire, Ontario’s great outdoors is waiting to fulfill
your dreams – make this the
year for your own Great Ontario
Outdoor Adventure.
