Geocaching in the Eastern Townships

Geocaching 101

Inspired to start a cache of your own? All you need is a waterproof container, any item — from money to a charm or a CD — and a note that explains the game. You must also include a logbook for geocachers to sign. The only things not allowed are food and anything illegal or inappropriate for geocachers of any age. Once you register your cache at www.geocaching.com, people can start hunting for it. You're responsible for checking it periodically, however, to ensure that it is still intact and isn't disturbing the environment.
