Yukon Quest
In February, the fastest thing on snow will walk away victorious
in Canada's premier dogsledding event — the Yukon Quest. Beginning
in Fairbanks, Alaska, the competitors will race a gruelling 1,600
kilometres over the lonely northern landscape en route to Whitehorse,
Yukon. Celebrating the fearless spirit of the Klondike Gold Rush,
the event follows the path that prospectors used during the 1898
race for gold. Now in its 25th year, the Yukon Quest is a true
test of frontier stamina as competitors endure desolate traverses
up to 300 kilometres between checkpoints. Check the links below
for more information on the Yukon Quest.
