Algonquin Provincial Park, Ontario Cushioned on a carpet of red pine needles on unspoiled rocky shore, the lake still, the tent pitched and waiting, the canoe pulled up for the night, the stars coming out, a hint of northern lights as the full moon rises, the wolves begin to howl ....

Algonquin Provincial Park, Ontario Algonquin Park truly represents the best in Canada. Visiting it is almost a rite of passage for young Ontarians who can marvel at the park's natural beauty that has inspired such artists as the group of Seven or canoe, fish, hike or just howl with the wolves in one of Canada's most breathtaking parks.

Banff National Park, Alberta As a student, in 1967, I spent the most wonderful summer of my life as a lowly Chambermaid in the Banff Springs Hotel. The memories of scenery and trips through the west are still vivid and beautiful! I have not had the chance to revisit because of cost, time and kids, but hope to get back there someday.

Banff National Park, Alberta Banff National Park is such a beautiful place that every Canadian should be able to see it. There are so many thing to see and do regardless of if you are an avid outdoorsman or if you prefer to stay in the townsite. Lake Minewanka is worth seeing, and Johnston's Canyon is a definite must. If you go there, you should make sure to go up the Sulfur Mountain gondola, it is well worth the trip. Lake Louise is absolutely gorgeous, and Chateau Lake Louise and the Banff Springs hotels are like Canadian castles nested in the rockies. If you like to camp there are many campgrounds to choose from, and numerous hotels and bed and breakfasts if you don't prefer to rough it. In the winter, the ski hills can't be beat. I think that Banff National Park is the best place in Canada, because it has something to offer everyone. And to top it all off, the absolute beauty of the place will leave you breathless.

Banff National Park, Alberta No vacation will ever touch the sights and strength of the Canadian Rockies. The visit was by far the best vacation in my life. I will be returning. The sites...the smells...the feeling of being just a small part of a much larger world. It was awesome!!
