Canada exports almost $14 million worth of wine every year and is gaining international recognition and winning medals through such wine competitions as Vinitaly, where our country has competed since the 1990s. The Verona event attracts about 3,500 wines from more than 30 countries, and Canadian growers recently took home five major awards.
