An Icelandic company, Össur hf., has acquired the commercial rights to the world’s first bionic leg prosthesis, developed by Victhom Human Bionics (VHB), founded by Stéphane Bédard in Quebec. VHB uses electronics, mechanics and informatics technologies to correct or improve anatomical dysfunctions.
