The Degrassi television series has gone global since those Toronto high school kids hit Canadian screens in 1987. Reruns of “Degrassi Junior High” and new episodes of “Degrassi: The Next Generation” recently began running in Spanish on Guatemala’s Canal 31, and are being shown in Venezuela, Brazil and France, among other countries.
