Because Canada enjoys hot summers and lots of flowering crops, Canadian beekeepers get more honey per bee twice the world’s average. Exports go worldwide, with about 45 tonnes a year ending up in the Bahamas, and smaller shipments being sent abroad to such countries as Azerbaijan (25 tonnes) and Moldova (18 tonnes).
