Every two years, dog mushers, knuckle-hoppers and one-foot high kickers turn out for the Arctic Winter Games. Traditional Dene games and a raft of other sports are also included. Teams from Alberta North, Alaska, the Yukon, Nunavut and Greenland are permanent participants.
