Wetlands
Spread across Canada’s six ecosystems, wetlands are low-lying areas where the water table is near the surface. They create swamps, bogs and marshes and are an important part of the water cycle.

Ruperts Land >> The name of the land that was granted to the Hudson's Bay Company in the 1600s by Charles II. It was what is now Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Yukon, Alberta and some of the Northwest Territories.
