Larry Towell
For ten years, Magnum photographer Larry Towell documented the lives of Mexican Mennonite migrant workers both in Ontario and in their insular desert colonies of Mexico.
This photograph was taken in El Salvador in 1991. It shows a young guerrilla visitng friends and family at dusk. Escaping the government -backed death squads, these villagers had been refugees; now they were returning home.
